I've read where people have said that they've seen their scores drop from inquiries anywhere from nothing to 7 points each. Was wondering if these points stay gone the entire two years the inquiries are reported or if you regain those points as time goes by, like in 2 months or 6 months. Thanks!
I lose 7 points each (EQUIFAX) "THEY" say that they don't hurt after 6 months... ...but I have been DENIED credit for EXCESSIVE INQUIRES...all over one year old!!! YMMV
hmmm thanks for the input. I'm trying to explain to fiance why he shouldn't call anybody about anything that will result in an inquiry - he keeps checking with different mortgage companies and I was telling him to stop calling them until I'm done with this. He thought it would only affect the score for a couple of months. I didn't believe that and told him I'd ask.
Re: Re: Regarding Inquiries and Score FOR A "FACT" I HAD 3 INQUIRES FOR MY RE-FI (never finalized)...3 X 7 = 21 "THEY" SAY THEY COUNT AS ONE!!! IN MY CASE...THAT WAS A LIE!!!
Re: Re: Regarding Inquiries and Score I remember you talking about that in another thread. It sucks. As I'm learning more and more about this, I'm educating him as well.
Re: Re: Regarding Inquiries and Score Men can be so difficult! hand him copies of his reports, and tell him he can share those, but to not allow anyone to pull.
