If there's inaccurate or false information, you always have the right to dispute it through the CRA's. However, removing a legitimate bankruptcy is not an easy task since it's public record and easy for the CRA's to verify. This was a long time ago, so it should be affecting your FICO score less and less as you approach the drop-off date. Are you worried about trying to secure a loan?

You can dispute anything in it.However it opens up other problems. What would stop a ca from filing suit even though its 9 years old?

Because it was a bankruptcy and it was discharged. Shakes head in utter dis-belief.

To the OP, your bankruptcy will be legally removed as of 05/2010 anyway. Wait it out.

Here's the process that I used to remove a bankruptcy from all three CRA's. I used the simple validation process directly to the OC's once again on each individual account. The names and addresses are still on your credit report, so use them to dispute directly to the OC. In my case, every OC didn't respond and I picked them off one at a time. It took a little time to get this done, but it worked. When all the accounts in the bankruptcy were removed i.e, using a simple validation request to the OC and there were no more accounts reporting as 'included in bankruptcy', the bankruptcy itself was removed. None of the OC's were interested in validating any debts because they believe it is settled. You can always dispute what's in your Credit File at any time. It should be noted that I waited two years after the bankruptcy had settled before I started this process. It worked and no more bankruptcy and of course my credit score shot up.
