    Hi everyone,

I posted a few days regarding working with Sallie Mae to remove late payments. The late payments were reported before I applied for a deferment. Once I applied for the defermment, I disputed the late payments and they were corrected. In 8/2004 I pulled my credit report only to discover that the late payments had re-appeared.

I just hung up with the Sallie Mae. They are insisting thier reporting is correct, despite the fact I have a letter from them on thier letterhead stating, "You may make payments; howver, payments are not required" In another letter, Interest statement it state" You are not required to pay the interest now. You will not be considered past due if you choose not to send payment now. "

How should I proceed? Do I attack the bureaus or take Sallie Mae directly to small claims court? The supervisor states that once the report is made they will not make corrections, as the information was correct at the time of reporting. The forebearance in thier eyes has nothing to do with anything.

The bureaus did not notify me of the re-insertions.

Anyone have a letter I can use. Please advise.

    Anxiously awaiting your responses!

My husband has a S. M account reporting as 60 and 90 days late 3 months after it was paid in full.
They have sent us numerous letters admitting thier error and numerous letters saying they are fixing it.. so far, nothing.
Good Luck, and please update and tell us if they actually do anything about this.
