I belong to soo many of the CRA sites. I remember someone had a score simulator. For example, you owe 3000.00 on your visa. If you pay 1500.00 this month, how much more will your score improve....

    Ok folks....who has it?

    Thanks in advance

Pivacy Gard has a simulator. It cost an extra $3 when you pull your report.

Privacy Guard is only $1 for the next 90 days, and you can pull a 3b everyday in you want.

How accurate are the scores on PrivacyGuard?

For an extra $10 you can get your other two scores, but it's a one-time thing.

I bit the bullet for the extra $10 and got them, now I wonder how accurate any of them are. I figured I was in the high 600s, and all three through PG are in the low 700s. So, I was wondering how accurate this is before I decide what to do about a car.

My real EQ is a little lower on PG @ 631

But my other 2 are right on the money.

What is a little lower? 10 points? 25? I sure would like two of mine to be right on.

When I pulled the 3 bureau I had EQ 717, EXP 719 and TU 728.

Today my EQ was up a point to 718.

Do you think I'm really completely in the 700 club?

I don't think the one that Equifax uses is entirely accurate, especially the section that gives you the number of points your score would increase if you paid 1 month's worth of bills on-time.

I wasn't worried about the simulator, just about the scores themselves.

I have paid my bills ON TIME for 25+ years...and I still took a DUMP when I paid OFF $30,000 in credit cards in one month...and I still have not recovered!!!

I owe less today with 679 than I did when I had 739!!!

I have only increased my CREDIT LIMITS and reduced MY DEBT (DEBT TO CREDIT LIMIT RATIO)

It works the way they want...BUT IT IS NOT "REAL" LIFE...I can't even get much above 800 (WITH NO DEBT)

So, how close are the scores?

GEORGE, I feel for you. Crazy how paying off that much would make your score go DOWN, isn't it. It makes no sense at all---RNG!!

That makes me feel a lot better!! So now I can start looking for the really low interest car loans, maybe lower than the 4.75% at my credit union.

Although I understand that the car dealers have a different algorithm, probably to get you score low enough that you don't qualify for the best deals.

Last year the dealer offered me a "deal" of 8%. I got 5.75% at the CU.

We have a huge Chevy Dealer outside of town here (Orlando, FL) that is running 0% for 72 months, with a 720 Beacon (EQ FAKO) Score. The ads says 'beacon' so I guess they pull EQ.

As soon as my Beacon hits 720 I am going the to buy a new Tahoe.

The best my CU can do is 9.9% for 60. No thanks, but I will pass on the $700+ car payment.

My goal is to get to 720, by the time the Fiance's car is paid for. (In about a year).

I am going to save about 11k in interest alone.

Plus when you go to a new car lot at 720+ you can pretty much call the shots.

    I can't wait.

We're really hoping to nurse our old car along for another year, but I want to start looking just in case.

I have a few things that should be disputed, I just haven't had time. So, hopefully in a year I'll be over 720.

    Re: Re: Score simulator

Can you make a DOWN PAYMENT like $5,000 or more and still get the 0.00% financing with a lower F.I.C.O.???

I will have to wait to here the ad again, but I do not see why making a large down payment would dis-qualify you for financing.

I'm looking to find out if it is like getting BONUS F.I.C.O. POINTS...

You buy a car that costs say $20,000 and you have to have 720 for the 0.00% for 60 months...but if you put $5,000 down that's 25%...could you have a 700 or 675??? And get the car??? And the 0.00% for 60 months???
