Exactly what constitutes a serious delinquency?

Is it just a late, 20 lates, a collection or what?

My credit BEACON FICO says serious delinquency is the number one reason why my score is a 665.

and what exactly is a charge off? I thought it was when you are so late that they turn you over to collections, as one of my credit reports has a little repossession/charge off box, i think that was qspace or something.

I signed with ameridebt a while ago and not long after, Citibank closed my account on me even though I was never late, is that considered a chargeoff?

Are you looking at a copy of your credit report? Usually, it will say underneath the credit card whether it was charged off or not. It doesn't necessarily mean they sold it to a collection agency. They could have just written off a past due amount as was the case with mine.

Not sure if this is case with you or not but....

a couple of months ago my Equifax score dropped dramatically, and the prime reason was "serious delinquencies" - my online report didn't show any delinquencies at all. I couldn't figure it out.

Coincidentally, I recevied a hard copy of the report in the mail as I had an unrelated dispute that was resolved, and I noticed that one of my accounts was showing all correct and positive information, EXCEPT that in the STATUS column the entry read I3 - which is like 60 or 90 days late.

(The online reports don't show that STATUS column)

I called them and disputed that entry, once it was removed my score jumped back up and the reason codes changed.

YOu might try calling them and verifying that all of your positive accounts have matching positive STATUS.
