I'm finally ready to take the next step. I went and picked up the small claims form yesterday. They gave you an instruction sheet with it. So I'm reading the instructions and come across this one.

EXPLANATION: In the lines provided, fill in your reasons and explanation for the suit. In small claims court you are only allowed to sue for monies you are out.

monies you are out? Does this mean anything?

    Re: small claims form????

Sue for actual damages: $2K for the denials you received. Sue for statutory damages: $2K violation of the FCRA or something along those lines, I had help :)
