    . . . was approved! Only for a paltry $2,000, however.

Should I ask for an increase? I would like to transfer some of my MBNA balance at 18.9 to the Starwood card at 2.9 for six months. However, I applied in early October for the green rewards card and was denied. I am in Missouri and they checked TU. My score at the time was 664. My score now is about 670. I have some late pays that are all in excess of 15 months old. I'm not sure what made me think it was ok to apply, but I can't complain.

I am, however, ticked that I didn't apply before 10/31/03 when they had their promotion for bonus points. I'm gonna have to figure out another way to rack up points before going to Chicago in February.

Congrats! Call them up and ask. I applied for the Blue and Green last night. Got the 'we need more info to complete your application' message.

Just got off the phone with Amex and had to give them more info on my employment. The Green is approved but the Blue is still pending.

I too plan on doing a BT to Blue to knock down my Providian balance.

    Best regards,
    Mirage

I live in Missouri too, just got my green card in the mail today. I also got another pre-approved offer from AMEX this one for their Gold card.....

Anyone know which is better, I know the Gold costs more would having both for a year (first year free) hurt anything score wise?
