If my mother wants to add me as an AU to some of her accts to give me some more positives, how does she do it? Call them? Website? Letter? It's basically providian X 2 and Capital One X 3 she can add me to. She has me on Texaco and they are reporting as of today (that I noticed).
Call them, its easy and they will add AU with no problems. I don't even think they pull credit checks on the AU account, at least they have not for the couple times I have added family members to mine. -Peace, Dave
My husband has added me to accounts by phone. No problem, no credit checks for me. Definitely boosted my score.
Christi- I added my hubby on my 2 providian accts, they never asked for his SSN# it was easy. Terri- How long did it take for your husbands to show up on yours? Which card was it? It's been I think 2 months since I added my hubby and it's still not on his CR. Kellie
When HE had providian (and screwed it up) I called to make a payment all they asked for was my name (No SSN# etc.) It showed up on MY CR about 6 months later.
But if they only have a name ... like "Mark Johnson" how would they know which Mark Johnson's report to put it on? I mean assuming his name isn't "Dikembe Mutombo" or something ) -Peace, Dave
You know what is interesting is when i called to put him on I offered his SSN# so it would show up on his CR and the providian rep told me they go by name and address. She said if you share the same address it will show up on there, that the CRA's aren't verifying SSN#'s just addresses and last names. Kinda interesting. Kellie
With the Cap 1 Kmart card and Kohl's, he added me the day the card came in the mail, and it reported on me the next month, just like it did for him. Sears, I'm pretty sure it was on my report the month after he added me. If the accounts haven't shown up for 2 months, maybe you should call and make sure they added him. What cards did you add him to?
Providian. i actually called a couple of days ago and I have also sent all the info to the CRA's. The woman at providian told me AU's don't show up on CR's then she transferred me to a super and the super said yes they do. Who knows?!?!
You know now that you mention it, I dont think I was asked SS# when I added family members to Citi card either...hmmmmmmmm. -Peace, Dave
