Has anyone recently had a successful Goodwill with MBNA? If so, how/where(pfb, us mail to xxxxx address, fax, etc.) did you send it? What format did you use? I am getting ready to send one and would appreciate any advice in dealing with MBNA.
    I have 2-30 days late (08/1997 & 12/2000) & 1-60 days late (09/1997)

    Thanks in advance.

I'd like to know too. I pfb'd a request to MBNA 30 days ago no response and sent a letter with no response.

    jmbarrs,

I had success using PFB. I used a version of Marci's goodwill honey letter - and it worked. I got a 2year old 30day delinq knocked off. It did take a while, however; perhaps 3 weeks or so.

I have a PFB out right now - goodwill account removal. Totally ignored a fax re: inquiries. Will post if a result comes along.

I pfb'ed them last night, asked to remove 1-30 and 1-60. We'll See.

Take your business elsewhere if they won't delete.

I sent MBNA a goodwill letter about 6 weeks ago and got a "no" within three weeks.

any updates? I'm hoping they are answering PFB's. I just sent one today. Let us know if they answer and how.

Anybody had any Chase PFB success?

I have tried three times with MBNA -- no dice each time. The secret (too late for me) is to say that the late was their fault -- payment was returned to sender, or whatever. MBNA sucks -- they are sticklers and seem to take pride in the fact that while everyone else will delete, they won't.

I got my answer yesterday. They said they just don't(and can't) do that.

    To quote the letter:

In your correspondence, you requested that we consider removing the negative payments from your credit report. A minimum payment is required by the due date indicated on each monthly statement. Like other lenders, we report your credit history to the appropriate consumer agencies. A review of our records indicate that no bank errors have been made concerning your payment record; therefore, the delinquency on your credit report is valid and will not be removed.

Ok MBNA, don't expect any more business from me.

I was successful in having MBNA remove duplicate inquiries using PFB. It took about 3 or 4 weeks to get a letter from them and another 2 weeks to confirm the duplicates were removed.

Try to DISPUTE with the CRA'S...

If they say NO...wait a couple of months and try again...

EVEN IF IT TAKES 4 OR 5 TIMES...it will go away...(they just get TIRED of you...and just make it go BYE BYE)

Well even though they said they were not going to remove the neg. info.; I just got another letter from them earlier this week saying they had updated my account. Just checked my scores and it looks like they did remove. Hello 700 Club.

No dice for me either. They responded to a certified letter, not PFB. The CSR was very nice, but she said that I should put a statement on my credit reports reporting why the payments were late. Yeah, I think I'll shoot myself in the foot while I'm at it.

I was successful with a letter sent to CEO. Search the forums, I've posted the letter that I used awhile ago.

Okay, I'll try that. It's my oldest tradeline, so I'm hoping I don't have to go nutcase on them.
