Today I braved applying on line for a Target card. I haven't applied for anything since we did our mortgage in 10/01. I got the 'need more time' response. In less then a fraction of a second. Amazing. Later in the day I called the customer service to see if they could tell me the out come. She was very nice & explained that it was denied due to inability to confirm my information. She asked if I had moved. I told her almost a year ago. She told me they pulled Equifax. Which I knew did not have my updated address: They changed my husbands, but, they want my life story, blood & first born to change mine. Anyway. She said they pulled a hard inquiriy. Ok, how if they could not verify it was me? If they are putting a hard inquiry on my report then why didn't they accept the info on it? The CS woman told me when I get my denile letter to send it back with a phone bill or something with my name & address on & they will redo the app. Does that mean there going to pull another inquiry? She couldn't answer that, nor what my score was Has anyone experianced this? Thanks, Becky
