Well folks, thanks to this board and the great advice, I am out of the starting gate and on my way to GREAT credit..

As some know, I have just finished up a round of disputes with the 3 bureaus, and can claim success..

In round one I disputed a 3x30 day late on my mortgage from 98, and a bk filing from 92 found on my equifax report..

As of last week, the mortgage lates were removed from all 3 bureaus..

and I just pulled my bureau and the bk is gone from all 3! The bk was removed in just one week from faxing over my discharge paper..

Thanks to miles and once38 for the advice on disputing aged chapter 13's!

Only problem now, I can't for the life of me get my score power! It still shows the 639 from 3/20, when both negs appeared.. I am confident my score must be better now. I called the tech support number for equifax online and they said I would have to wait until 4/20 to pull my next score (bummer).

I now only have to work on a $156 unpaid judgment from 95, and a $1600 judgment from 95...

Thanks again to everyone for the advice and encouragement.. I will be right there to assist the next newcomers..

Paul you can get your score before the 30 days. I take it when you logged in you went to products and there it only lets you order another online report, believe me I did the same thing for my husband:( but for future reference, you log in then go back to the first consumers page and hit the 12.95 button, this will take you to credit card payment screen which states 12:95 will be charged and from there you can get new report and score.

thats what I thought and did based on someone elses advice earlier today (I think Marci).. I did everything up to and including entering my card.. the screen came back with my reference number.. and today's bureau.. but when I clicked on show score, it was 639. I thought maybe that my score didn't change from 3/20, but the equifax tech support guy looked at my records and said it was from 3/20, and I would have to wait...

I'll have to try again.. or apply for a loan and find out <g>..

Sorry it worked for a few posters so far, but I didn't order mine again I just went to see if I could. My credit has changed any so I didn't try it.

That screen indicated you would be charged 12.95, what did they charge for then just 8.50 for report??

Did you use that letter that I posted from yahoo group about BK13?? I've sent it off myself and haven't heard anything from it yet.

    Mom,

Actually, I had the Equifax Credit watch package with the 5 or 6 bureaus... it ended up not being charged to my card, but costing me one bureau pull. I had the tech guy check that..

    Christi,

I got lucky and didn't need to use that letter..though I had it in my arsenal..I just called them and said I wanted to start a dispute due to the age of the file. The rep asked if i had discharge papers, which I did, and she asked that I fax them over.. she said it would take about 5 business days to update the records from the time I sent the fax.. ended up being removed on 6th day. I called them each day just to bug them and let them know I wasn't forgetting about it, lol..

    Thanks for the help Christi!
