It takes time. I filed CH7 and let me tell you, it is far more damaging than a Ch 13, so you're already ahead of me! The most important thing you can do is to establish a timely payment history for the next two years. You might also want to apply for a secured card from a reputable bank like Chase, or get a loan from your bank or credit union using your saving account as a security deposit.

Yes, there is life after credit, the essential ingredients to re-establishing a damaged credit history are time and responsible credit use.

Get your self a couple of major credit cards, even if your credit limits are very low, make your payments ontime, dont go over your credit limit, then time will do the rest.

    Good luck!

Oh, I have the perfect book for you. Go to http://www.afterbankruptcy.com (maybe it's .org) and buy their Credit After Bankruptcy Book. I've attended the author's seminar and I've never seen anything come close when considering recovery from bankruptcy.

See if you can get a capital one secured or providian/aria card. By the time your bankruptcy falls off your credit report, you'll have a fat credit line with both card companies!!
