    Dog,
You have to apply for a card through Citi USA (Hilton Hhonors Visa, Rainbow Card, Travelocity Card, etc). They are issued by Citi USA in Delaware and not Citibank South Dakota. Citi USA used to be Travelers Bank, and they will combine their systems later this year, but as of now, Citi USA doesn't know if you are on the Citi "blacklist". I got my Hilton Visa that way.

Me too. I am on Citi's blacklist, but got immediately approved for a $5000 Signature card from Citi USA.

Is it the same website? I went to citibank.com but didn't see the cards you mentioned? Am I blind?

I had found the citicardsde site, but it has no links or info on any cards that they offer.

Then that should tell you a little bit about what kind of operation they are. Citi USA is not the same as Citibank. They are extremely unsophisticated and that link above is as good as their website gets. Their online account website is just as bad.

Having said that - I think Citi USA handles CitiGroups affinity cards - excepting the AT&T and Sony cards, which are under Citibank, N.A.

I don't really know how they decide who gets to market any particular card - but Citi USA has the dibs on the Hilton Signature.

OK. Thanks. That's pretty sad. LOL
Marci, can you tell me what type of score is needed and who they pulled?

    Thanks!

    1. I don't have a definite minimum score for you, but I think they do manual approvals (my turnaround was less than one week, but it was manual). My Trans Union score was "above 700" according to the analyst I spoke with. I suspect a 680+ is needed for the Signature card. I don't know about the basic and Gold Hhonors cards.

    2. They pulled TU for me for the card and for a CL increase. I suspect that they pull TU exclusively, just like Citi N.A. does.

    3. Search for "marci" and "Citi USA" for my horror story re their account online website. Basically, their website does not recognize posted purchases until after the statement closes. And it takes a week to have the statement updated online after it closes.

So... if you charge mid cycle, you have to wait until after the statement closes AND updates online if you want to pay online. Otherwise, you have to send it in snail-mail The last time I sent it snail-mail, they credited the wrong amount on the check and I ended up getting finance charges anyway. It took two billing cycles of not using the card to get it straightened out.

Having said that, they do update to Hilton Hhonors very quickly and it is a no annual fee rewards card.

Thanks for the info. As for Citi NA they have pulled equifax for me every time (4) over the past 2 years.

Hey.. quick question. Does anyone know if you miss the blacklist with Citi NA but did have old paid bad accounts (or bk'd accounts)... how long does Citi take to purge their files?

I know I'm not on the blacklist... but internally they still find the old accounts. It's been 4 years now...

    I can get CitiUSA

and Citi NA Radioshack (no bk filter)

Marie, does your Creditnet account have your current e-mail address? Haven't got your response when I used it a while back.
