TU gave us the stomach flu!

And I thought my threatening letters to them went unnoticed. Apparently not!

Not trying to make this a medical forum but, does anyone know what medicine is the best kind to take to head off vomiting?

I am accusing TU of "biological terrorism" so that I can ask opinions on what medicines are the best to keep someone from throwing up! I am at the lowest point one could get, and with good reason...

I am deathly afraid of throwing up! Some people are afraid of heights, spiders, tight spaces, flying, or any number of phobias but I get blessed with the fear of throwing up. It has been so bad that when my kids get sick I put my shirt over my face and run the other direction! I am a terrible father!

I have been sick to the point of throwing up only twice in the last 25 years! Although I consider myself lucky because I remember hearing my wife do it every morning for a total of 12 months with all our kids. She is a true warrior!

So any quick thoughts about this and I'll be happy!

Breathing shallowly,

SnakeMan

Don't eat.

And I'm really not sure why we need to know about this particular phobia of yours.

TU gave us the stomach flu!

As a kid, I quite frequently suffered from vomiting. I can relate with your phobia. I used to try anything to keep from it and would cry, no sob, when I knew there was no choice. Our family doctor (the kind with a pack of smokes in his pocket) told my mother to give me weak iced tea sweetened very lightly with sugar and have me sip it.

Believe it or not, it helps to settle my stomach.

And in keeping with your original thread...

Original Diagnosis:
TU to blame

2nd Opinion:
I concur.

Hope this provides some level of relief.

:)

Lol...

Yes thank you!

Actually, there is emetrol you can buy which is a syrup of some sorts that will settle your stomach.

I don't eat and I sip cold water which seems to help me.

Stop breathing shallowly. If you feel an "attack" coming on, just relax. Make an effort to breathe heavily and think positive.

Nausea triggered by physiological factors such as food poisoning/stomach flu are a natural response by your body. Your body is trying to rid itself of something toxic. Let the nausea run its course and let your body do its thing.
