I disputed online with TU on 9/6/02, and then sent a few other disputes via CRRR which they received 9/17/02. They sent me a letter which I guess I misunderstood but thought was verifying that the dispute was underway, so when the 35 days was up on 10/23 I called them to delete the items since they weren't verified. The CSR told me to refer to the letter I had gotten regarding the second batch of disputes, and told me what it said ... basically since I already had a dispute in progress, they couldn't investigate the other items until the first dispute was complete and I got an updated copy of my report. HUH?! I thought they could extend the time by 15 days if I sent them additional info regarding the first dispute. If the others were totally different disputes, is there any reason they shouldn't have investigated them? Should I insist that they delete the items from the letter even though they never started an investigation?
