Depends -- Trans Union's so-called "special handling" department is their legal department. It usually means they fear you are going to sue them or it means they see irregular activity with regard to you cleaning up your account. They will also move accounts to the "special handling" department often if they suspect you are using a credit repair agency to clean up your credit record.

    gosh darn it.
the first part is correct, but where are you getting these "facts" about using a CRO from? Do you know this from experience?

Yes, I know this from experience. It took me nearly a month to get someone from the so-called "special handling" department to contact. We spoke on the phone and the person in that department explained to me why accounts are moved there. While admittedly I read a little between the lines a little bit, it is how I understood it.

By the way, I never claimed to provide "facts." It's just what I understand based on my experience. Take it or leave it.

i could care less if they are facts or opinions. I just want to know if they told you or you know for fact, that people "who are suspected of using CRO's are put into special handling." It's a simple question.

I've sued TU, and i'm still not in special handling!

LOL, TU suspects everyone who disputes anything of using a CRO.

I have dealt with Julie at TU. I contacted Don Richman via Email and was forwarded to her. I am not in the TU "priority dept".

I agree, Julie is great! She helped me with my report. She always calls back pretty quickly and is very nice. Annie is a #$%^$# watch out for her!! She is in the same department as Julie!

I noticed your post in the creditnet archives. I have now been sent to "another department". I guess it's special handling. I was sent to someone named "Jasper", then to ext 6211, then to someone named "Lisa". The main CSR won't tell me what department their transferring me to.

Could you please give me a direct line to talk to someone? Also, what advice could you offer about dealing with the other dept???

    Thanks a bunch
