Okay, all my accounts are paid--I need some help in what to add to the validation letters to reflect that--even tho I paid them, I dispute that they were even mine to begin with.
I paid them due to the fact they weren't that much and I was told I would need everything on my credit report paid for a mortgage and I didn't think I would have enough time to dispute them completely off.
    HELP!

How long ago did you pay off everything and what form of payment did you use (check, money order or CC)? You will want to change a few things to the validation letters, but it is very possible to scare them into removing the info.

I paid this year---thru an over the phone check (auto system)and the collection was paid about a year ago and that was either a check or a money order--it was mailed. The phone check was less than 200.00 and the mailed payment was about 17.00 (so I could get a better cell phone deal--lol)
    What are your suggestions?

Like I suggested on another post, modify the validation letter. I've done this and it worked very well! You will want to make sure that they understand that you want all records and proof of the debt AND proof of charge-off or paid collection status. In other words your main issue with them is that you want proof that what they are reporting is 100% accurate of your payment history and not just proof that the account really is yours. What has worked in the past for me was the fact that it was more trouble than it was worth and they just went ahead and deleted my old paid accounts. One creditor deleted for me and another asked me to dispute with the CRA's and that they would not verify.

okay, thanks! I'll try it when this round is over. I was seriously considering going to Junum but maybe I should try this first? I'm rather undecided to be honest. I don't know what would be most beneficial for me :(

Either way would be a good chance of success. I would try it on my own first as this would be a bit faster to see if it worked or not. I've never used Junum but I have used myself. lol
