Got second letter from Gulfstate thurs, stating they were removing the second bogus account... So in 2 weeks i've gotten two letters from them stating they were removing the accounts, checked my report and the other 2 OSI were removed also... This morning i pull my report and Equifax shows a credit file for me that's over 8 months old!!! It's the report that i had before i started the major clean... None of the accounts are updated... It's so obvious the accts have last reportings in 97 and 98..... I'm Pissed!!!!!!!!!!! I can't beleive they are showing right now an Old file for me... I have 4 to 5 months of credit reports that show different..... Someone Please tell me how you'd handle it........ ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Did you save copies of the recent reports?

The same thing happened to me. I had Eq validate a transferred or sold account that was listed as past due a a balance of $200. They validated as transfered or sold. I received three reports there after with this information. The fourth report it showed the original dispute. I was pissed off. Anyway, I just called Eq and they immediately removed the incorrect information and put the transfered or sold back on. I got a report new report 1 week later.....

yep i got all my reports, that came from equifax in the mail, and i saved the online scorepower reports... I'm due a report from a deletion this week. I'm wondering if that one will show the old file..... I'm thinking of sending them a letter and attaching my previous months reports which show none of these accounts...

I'm having a time with EQ over this Gulfstate business myself. They just won't stay deleted! Its been deleted and reinserted twice. I've faxed, Gulfstate has faxed and called...its getting ridiculous. The good news is they appear to have deleted the original creditor when they reinserted Gulfstate, so I'm not terribly upset. I know I can get Gulfstate taken care of...but the OC was not going to be that easy.
