I have never seen this one.

However, I suspect that you have a great sense of humor and that an "FK" inquiry may provide just the laugh we credit challenged members need on the board today.

from what I understand from previous posts on the board. it is a collection coded inquiry.
I tried to do a search for fk, but it keeps timing out...if you can do a search, but I am pretty sure that's what it means..
    hope this helps

George... I'm not VERY sure... However... I was told that FK has something to do with a fraud investigation.

    Again... I'm not very sure..

That would make sense to me. I have one for Dillards on my Equifax coded FK. That account was not mine but belonged to the woman in FL who shares the same name as me but who doesn't have a SSN# (she's very old). Dillards opened an account for her sans SSN# and put her info on my account. When I disputed with Dillards they pulled a hard inquiry to find out what was what. I complained to both Dillards and EQ and the inquiry was recoded as a soft FK.

    STILL NO "FK"

UNDER INQUIRES------->INQS - Alert appears if three or more inquiries within past 90 days. VERY GOOD REASON FOR BUMPAGE!!!

Or if you need more cards and they will pull EQUIFAX...SPACE THEM OUT...

I have an FK on my Equifax credit report too. When it appeared, I called Equifax and was told its a code that indicates that the creditor (in my case a collector) is trying to locate the consumer. Unfortunately, this stays on your credit report for 2 years and is seen by other creditors.

How can a CARDHOLDER of CHASE be NOT FOUND???
Name and address listed in phonebook...
I found us on the internet in address searches like www.usa.com

I E-MAILED EQUIFAX DEMANDING REMOVAL FOR HER, WE WILL SEE WHAT HAPPENS...

My2sentz is right. An FK is an inquiry used by a creditor/collector trying to locate your current whereabouts.
