Who is Credit First? They have pulled my credit report 3 times within the past 2 yrs and I have NO accounts with them. I don't even know who they are and I haven't applied for any credit or mortgages or anything in the past 3 yrs (except for Chase and Citibank). Does anyone know who they are and have contact information for them? I need to figure out what give them PP to keep pulling my credit reports!
There's a People's Credit First. They are one of these outfits who try to get you to get a credit card from them. It appears to be a Visa or MasterCard but isn't really. You pay an upfront fee and can buy from their catalog. There is a temporary restraining order against them. Read the court document. You may want to contact the FTC to see what the current status is.
There may be another Credit First, but this is the only one I found. Can the CRA give you contact info?
heres the link i have on them http://www.creditfirst.com/ and http://aitg.com/showcase/creditfirst.html it seems as though it is some sort of credit reporting agnecy
Thank you so much for the link. I don't understand their PP to pull my credit report when they are a credit reporting agency. I sent them a letter thru their contact information for demand they remove it. It was pulled on 12/9/03 and I have no idea why.
In your letter, also demand $1000 per pull per bureau from them. Don't let them get away easy. Anyway, to confuse you further, there is a Credit First National Association, that handles Firestone tire's credit programs ... all those "90 days no interest" programs .... bought any tires lately?
My husband has a charge card with Firestone and it is listed as Credit First on his cr. Hope this helps. Nadine
OK, Now I did apply for a Dayton CC for tires last month. I guess that was what it was for! Now I feel like a dum dum. They did send me a denial letter in the mail last week stating because they couldn't verify my employment they denied me. That's ok now i know who it was!
In your original post you said you got 3 inquiries in the past 2 years from them. You have been applying repeatedly? The last inquiry might be explained, but what about the other two? Just curious.
Re: Re: Who is Credit First? I'd say they violated your privacy, and FCRA. Since they denied you anyways, you don't have to worry about they screwing up your current tradeline or anything like that. Perhaps it's time to go to court and collect $$? Write a rabid letter along the lines of I never ever heard of you before, why are you pulling my credit, and unless I see a check for $3000 or an explanation for each and every inquiry, you are going to sue immediately....
