    // PRE-APPROVED // AMEX WANTS MY BUSINESS? //

Hey, yesterdays mail call LOL was American Express, your pre-approved letter for their American Express Rewards Green Card. I been receiving many letters from amex these past months saying I was pre-selected for their gold rewards card but I never responded to those offers, due to the fact that it's pre-selected, now i'm very tempted to send this pre-approved app back, what are the odds of getting the amex green card? they say they want me as a customer blah blah...

Has anyone ever responded to pre-approved offer from amex green rewards in the mail?

    Where you approved? any baddies?

I live in Central Florida any idea what CRA they will pull?

    Should I send it in?

AMEX as a rule DOESN'T waste their time sending many offers that are NOT a "REAL DEAL"

AMEX "PRE-APPROVALS" usually are a "DONE DEAL"

    UYGF

ME~~DENIED 3 TIMES FOR "PRE-APPROVED" AMEX CASH BACK CARD!!!

    NO "BADDIES" 25+ YEARS

I was "pre-approved"for the green card with no annual fee for the first year. Why would I want to pay $85 for a card where I pay the full balance at the end of the month. NO THANKS. Now if they pre-approve me for the Blue card, I would take that.

If you get AMEX DELTA GOLD that is $85.00 and you get MILES!!!

You MUST pay in FULL...(14.24% IF YOU DON'T)...BUT YOU GET MILES!!!

The "FIRST YEAR FREE" just expired on MAY 15

MAY 15-JULY 15 DOUBLE MILES UP TO $20,000 of purchases...

Exotic, I agree with George, get the Delta miles card, AMEX is one of most generous issuers for racking up air mile points. Plus, once AMEX pre-approves you, you are almost always approved for most AMEX cards, although there are probably a few that are strictly invitation only, but the Delta card is not one of them.

It's pre-approved American Express Rewards Green Card NOT the Delta Card.....

Should I reply sending the pre-approved app threw mail or going to the amex website to accept the pre-approved offer? I'm affraid online might decline me for some reason LOL. =)

I received a pre-approval in the mail for an Amex Gold Rewards earlier this year and was declined! Currently, my credit profile has no derogatory information. IMHO, I believe if you have any doubts on whether or not Amex will grant you a credit card, you should call it in. That way if questions are raised regarding your application, you could take care of them on the spot.

MANY MANY MOONS AGO...I WAS "PRE-APPROVED" FOR THE GOLD CHARGE CARD...GOT IT
    BADDIES??? NEVER

I got rid of it after one year...when I got a UNITED VISA that I also had to PAY IN FULL (TO AVOID THE INTEREST)...but I got mileage in the deal!!!

Apply ON-LINE...they already have the info in the computer...
or apply by mail...you will be APPROVED/DENIED either way

You confirm what they already have for the "PRE-APPROVAL" and they pull a credit report...

    APPROVE/DENIAL then happens

If they were "LEANING" towards APPROVAL...if you have nothing new that is BAD...you will be APPROVED...

Ahhhh, then we can meet for a drink next time I'm at Patrick. How about Murphy's? LOL

We are actually looking at houses in the Cocoa Beach\Satellite Beach area. We might get shipped back to FL next year.

    Hey GEORGE,

Quick question, I still have that collection on my Experian report, today I sent via OVER NIGHT to the collection agency an Intent to Sue letter for removal of that account, it's not my account, belongs to a family member with my same name at the same address.

Should I wait till they get the letter tommarrow and then in the afternoon go online to Experian.com and re-dispute it as "not mine" belongs to family member with same name? =) help please.....

I'm trying to clear this off with Experian in case they pull this report...so far my Equifax report is CLEAN.

I would dispute it ON-LINE right now if you can...ONE DAY WON'T MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE.
They will take about 30 days either way...

    [EDIT]

    JUST SAW THE "RE-DISPUTE"
You may have to send that by US MAIL to EXPERIAN

I received a pre-approved Delta Gold offer. DECLINED, failure to comply with terms from a prior account, i.e. charge off from 1985.
