Sorry if this question has been asked. Just cant seem to find it in search. I paid off a car perfectly with a buy here pay here company and they never reported it. They said that they basically dont report unless it is a delinquent account(When I bought it I thought it would help my credit because thats what they advertised). They said they would send me a printout of my payment history and see if that helps.Does anyone know of a way that I can have it added on with the credit bureaus. Thanks for your help.
I think they only report if you don't pay the loan and then it would report as negative credit possibly a judgement (depending on the balance you owe how the lender pursues the debt)
You can't force anyone to report. If you go to a bank or credit union for a loan, you can take the printout and they may consider that. A credit card company probably won't. A buy here, pay here place probably isn't a great credit reference anyway. If you want to build your credit, get a secured credit card and handle it properly.
