Our webmaster put in a lot of time and effort to upgrade the forum for 2010. What do you think of the new look? I, for one, love the widened view. I think it makes it much easier to navigate the forum and respond to posts.
One comment, unfortunately negative. The current skin has colors that are far too saturated. On a flat-screen display, this adds to an already bright presentation that makes the screen all the more tiring to read.
CTF388, thanks for your comment. Would you mind taking a screen shot and sending it to webmaster@creditnet.com so we can see what you're seeing? Does anyone else find this color scheme hard on the eyes?
I don't like a lot of light/bright colors either. And I'm not sure a screen shot will help. It's the monitor that's the issue. At work I have a flat-panel LCD display. At home I have an old monitor. It's much brighter on the one at work. In fact, I've noticed in other applications that often light colors don't really contrast well.
Thank you for your comments and input. We've made a few color changes that we hope will make reading the forum easier on the eyes. Please let us know what else we can do to enhance your experience here!
I think it is a little better. And I agree with Joshua about the widened view. Those of us who are a little older sometimes don't jump in very fast!!!
I really like the layout of the forum, but I must have been away too long because I don't remember having to manually type in page breaks. I am sorry but one of my long posts got all merged together and didn't keep the format I typed in the reply box. I really want to fix one of my posts, but the edit option disappeared. Can someone help me? Thanks - Pammila http://consumers.creditnet.com/Discussions/credit-talk/t-mortgage-things-know-70657.html#post490855
Hi Pam, You don't need to type in pagebreaks, hitting return/enter on your keyword should suffice; I'm not sure why your post showed up like that. Did you happen to write your post in another application, like NotePad or TextEdit, and cut and paste it into the browser window? If so, it's possible a copy and paste would not bring over pagebreaks. Why don't you PM me exactly how you want your post to appear, including pagebreaks, and I'll edit it for you.
Thank you so much, I will do that, and as a matter of fact I did do that, I copied and pasted the content of the post, and just didn't realize the page breaks went missing. I am really sorry about that, and will be more vigilant next time to avoid that.
No need to apologize Glad we figured out the issue. And, welcome back! Hope to see you around more often!
Thanks for the welcome, I wondered off because you have some very strong members here already knowledgeable on the subject of credit. I usually find my way to small boards where there is not so much support, or new boards just starting that need a lot of data dumped to get them off on the right track. But I am always happy to contribute where ever I am welcome.
Hope you don't mind, I sent e-mail instead - pm said I exceeded max characters, and said that you pm's were full. Thanks
Thanks very much. I noticed just regular posting without copy & paste I still get all the sentences jammed together. But I am learning to use the page break - so that don't bother me.
