May I ask a technical question: If you ignore someone but are subscribed to a thread they are in, do you still get notified if they post in the thread? Or, does it only notify you when others post?

    Thanks

Sorry Nana, I don't know. I have not yet ignored anyone. Except myself sometimes.

    Hi NanaC,

Good question. The correct behavior would be to suppress notifications for posts by ignored users. I do not know how vBulletin deals with this. Would be interesting to find out.

You are free to create a temporary account if you feel inclined to test this. I would appreciate it if you posted your findings back in this thread.

    Sincerely,
    pbm

I will post the answer here in a day. I have just placed my first person on "ignore".

I hope it does as you think, pbm.

That is exactly how it is handled.
