Credit cards are great, I have 6 right now and I used to do all my shopping using them. I havenâ??t used any of my credit cards of 5 months now. That is because I found a new cheaper way to do my shopping; I use a credit line instead. The credit card I have is through a company called freedom gold, and they have everything I want in their online mall of America. The best part is that my credit line is interest free. I'm not thinking of closing out my credit card accounts. Check it out www.freedomgold.com

This appears to be a decent "catalog card" offer, but the only downside with catalog cards of this type is that the line of credit is only applicable to the merchants in the program and their associated product offerings. Albeit, with Freedom Gold there are 150,000 products to choose from, it's still limited to those products. So just make sure you're gonna be able to use the credit line for something that you know you'll need or want before signing up for the program.

Historically, these are great cards for people trying to re-establish better credit who have a history (or a need for that matter) of items for purchase with featured merchants within the specified program.

You're better off to get a secured card, or a small store card or something. These catalog cards usually force you to pay high prices for inferior goods, and you often have to pay part besides using the account.

    Stay away from them.
