Does anyone else think that he is full of it? In a speech today for the labor unions, he stated that the tax refund checks, (not the normal refunds) are in people's hands and they have extra money. Thus implying that there is no recession. Anyways, I don't qualify for a tax rebate because I don't pay taxes. Being a full time student I get everything I pay back every year. So there is no extra money. He makes it sound like this rebate thing is the best thing since sliced bread, but it doesn't effect the entire nation. That is what I think is a load of BULL!

I think IDIOT is one of the qualifications for the job. Kind of like "credit bureau worker."

IF THAT IS TRUE...THAT IS A GOOD REASON TO NOT USE IT FOR SOMETHING LIKE A NEW STEREO, OR VCR, OR CD PLAYER, ETC...

I ALWAYS HAD PLANED TO PAY THE GAS BILL, ELECTRIC BILL, WATER BILL, PHONE BILL, SEWER BILL, TRASH BILL, AT&T @ HOME BILL, ETC....(WON'T COVER OCTOBER'S MORTGAGE PAYMENT)...

AND IF I HAD ANYTHING LEFT...I COULD GO TO MC DONALDS FOR $0.99 BIG MAC MONDAYS, ONE LARGE FRIES TO SHARE...WITH WATERS ALL AROUND!!!

    Erica,
Oh yes a political discussion. It seems that no president can make everyone happy. The tax cut is for people who "PAID" taxes by the way. Why would you get anything back if you didn't pay anything, not a cent, not a dime? Do you believe that you are entitled to something? It effects only those who paid into the system. I am a total believer in preserving our constitutional rights. I have no political or party agenda, but I do believe that the IRS is a real scam. I also dont believe in the income tax at all for that matter. The one thing that I ask all my friends is "Are you aware of the amounts being deducted from your paychecks each week?" Have you ever figured out the percentage? Most folks havent and that will not change. If most people really thought about how badly they were being raped of their hard earned dollars there would be more change going on. But we are lazy and we are the same group of consumers that is to lazy to figure out how credit card interest even works for that matter(this of course excludes the empowered consumers who visit creditnet.com he he lol). If you want total fairness in a society, you must play fair. What is fair? Is fair charging the rich more income taxes because they make more? Is fair making it harder for consumers to file bankruptcy, in order for the big banks to make more money? Or is fair charging everyone the same percentage no matter what there income level? Shouldnt everyone just be charged on what they consume or purchase? What is the need to single individuals out? Both the rich and the poor are getting screwed. The "rich" are being penalized in many cases by the liberals for making money. The "poor" are being penalized by the legislators who are controlled by greedy big business's that are able to hide behind their corporate shields and their big money pay offs. Who is wrong here? .
