Armondo,

I've seen your posts - and it's obvious that all this time Manny's been helping people with their credit by email and chat, and telling people to come here - but why isn't she posting here?

I'm not trying to start anything, but we're awfully curious about this, because what she's doing seems strange to us - especially since she wasn't banned from here.

Thank you Mr. Jordan for contacting the Bank of Armondo's customer service team. We appreciate your call, and your business, and we expect your wait time will be 10 minutes.

After 20 minutes:

Hello Mr. Jordan, we've researched your concern, and our answer is simple...

Drop her an email, and asks her these questions yerself :)

HAHAHA
Darn I'm funny.......

I'm glad I came back bfor I went beddybye. I wasn't trying to be harsh to ya.....my humor is bad.

I should said only Jackie can answer yer questions.

One thing I've always known about her (and admire), is that she's a private person, and no matter what you ask her, if she don't wanna tell ya - you ain't ever gonna get it outta her.
That's why people feel comfortable tellin her stuff, cause she ain't a gossip, and they knows what they tells her ain't ever gonna be repeated.

I tells ya this, cause I've asked her almost the same things (and more), and she ain't sayin nothin....haha.

Anyhoo - nites 2 u Jordan, and welkom 2 da site! :)

I wasn't banned, I've just been too busy to come here and really post. I dumped the name 'Manequinne', and nope, it's not strange what I've been doing :-)

Thanks for the answer Jackie.

My sister and I were wondering where you went. It looked like you'd dropped off the face of the earth, but we heard you were doing stuff/helping people through email, but we didn't know with who, so we didn't know how to get in touch with you.

I'm here looking for you, because that 'problem' you helped us get rid of awhile back....well, it popped up again with a different company, and we need your help again.

I'm so glad we found you, and I'm glad you came and posted. By the way, I always hated the name manequinne, and the name manny is too masculine. I like your new name better.

Armondo, I've read your posts before, I understand your 'humor', and I wasn't offended.

Armondo,

I don't mean to post here in the middle of another post, but I wanted to put this where I know you'd see it.

I saw an old post on another board where you talked about dell computers for businesses, and I was wondering if your office got rid of them, how, and if your company got their money back.
My dh and I bought a few dells for the small business we were going to open, and now we're VERY unhappy with the computers. The 30 days is gone, and we're wondering if we can do something.

2nd question. If your office got rid of the computers, who did you end up getting computers from?

Thanks.

MsAloevera,

We have HP's here at work, and they're good computers, but the memory is weak. If you go with HP, make sure you get the largest memory upgrade you can afford. We have laptops and desktops.
We had Compaq's before, and they had to be replaced every 4 years, because they became outdated too quickly.

I don't know how you'd get your money back once you made the purchase from Dell. On some business computer purchase accounts, if the amount is large enough, they will assign you a coincierge (sp?), and they are the ones that take care of your worries/tech/etc.

When hubby and I get back to the states, it will be time to renew my contract and upgrade my cellphone with Cingular. I like Cingular, but the coverage is spotty at best, and here, I have to use the international calling, and it's eating me alive.

I'm also not liking that new thing where if you don't upgrade your phone to the new system, you will get charged a 5.00 per month fee.

Jackie, since you had Cingular/do you still have it? and can you give me any reason why I should keep it?

I'm glad you guys are okay from Katrina, and I don't think the people that left Louisiana and are doing okay should return lol.

I don't either, and I'm glad they won't. They weren't appreciated when they were there b4, so New Orleans shouldn't benefit from them now.

Your name reminds me of burns....hahaha

I can't answer yer question exactly, but I gotta say....

I don't work there anymore, they suck, they sucked while I was there, they were bleeding money, and decided to sell off old equipment, and started layin off workers. That's why they decided to get rid of da puters, cause they couldn't afford to pay for them. They dried up da pensions, and they bein sued now out the wazoo.

Thank goodness I had to go to Italy way before it got worse there......so I got no reason to sue em.

I know this doesn't answer yer question, but WOW they suck...hehe.

I don't want to make multiple posts, so I'll answer here in one post, in order.

HI ARMONDO, and HAHA to the post about my plastic relatives. I had no idea they were that dangerous....if I ever need someone to beat someone up for me - I know where to go.

Jordan (and everyone else) - don't forget to look in NanaC's (HI NANA!), signature line for the state law info. It's extremely valuable.

It started a little before that - but in about the last 2 years or so, I decided I wanted to dump the names Manequinne and Manny. The only time I use them are in email, and that's because the people that contact me - that's what they know me by. I like my new name :-)

MsAloeVera, if you don't like your computers for aesthetic reasons, then sell them, or do an exchange with a business hub. There are many places that will exchange equipment for equipment for equal value. Look in your local phone book.
2. If you don't like your computers for price reasons - then see if you can negotiate your interest rate (it can happen), or see if you can lower your payment. They will 'freeze' your account to new purchases while you pay down your balance with new payments.
3. If you don't like your computers for technical reasons, then contact your dell technician (each business account has access to one), and explain the problem to them. If the problems are excessive - then you might be able to exchange them. I know that because of the manufacturing process, some Dell's have defective parts.

I have a dell, and I love it. The only problem I had was about a year ago, I had to get a new video card.

It's too bad you're not happy, as I find that Dell's computers have improved, but the customer service at Dell Financial Services had gotten a little slower.

Well, HI GIB! and I hope you're doing okay, and you're taking care of yourself :-)

Good advice Jordan, and don't forget - the concierge is only assigned to business accounts that spend at least $50,000.00 per year.
Our school has a concierge, but to be honest, I don't find them to be particularly helpful, or necessary. I had to deal with him about a year ago, and he seemed to not know as much as a regular CSR (nothing against them), but I would think that if you spent that much money at a business, you'd get better customer service..especially during an emergency.

Revolution, if you have been a customer of Cingular for at least 2 years, call them and ask them for special pricing for international calling. Armondo has it, so I'm hoping he can tell you more about it.

The 5.00 fee is silly, but they say is necessary, because they need to maintain the old backbone for the older phones to operate correctly, as the older phones can't connect/operate on the new network. I understand 'why' they want to do it, but again, I think it's silly to make you have to purchase a new phone. They have almost decent phones, but have you seen the prices of the higher-end phones?

I still have Cingular, and I love my service, but I have a relative that lives in the same town, and he has horrible service. Also, I have thousands of rollover minutes, and I have the basic account from 4 years ago, but with updated extras...so I'm not going anywhere :-)
BUT - no matter what - if they mess up, or if my coverage changes - then I'll walk, and won't look back.

Insofar as keeping the service - you need to do what you need to do to be happy...so if you aren't happy with the service/phone, etc...then you probably won't wake up tomorrow happy with it, and nothing will change those feelings.

If you do switch - make sure you actually call AND write them to close your account, because some people just assume that when their contracts expire, that Cingular will automatically close their accounts. They won't, and they automatically switch you to a month-to-month contract, and when you don't pay - yes, they will consider you late.

I agree with you about the people that left Louisiana shouldn't return. If you have a chance to be happy elsewhere, and have a better life - take it. It's sad how some people stayed, are unhappy now, and are stuck. I'm happy for those who are doing better, and I continue to wish them luck.

HI NANAC!, and I want to Thank you for your continued friendship!
You are a true friend, I really appreciate you, and for your being there for me :-)

And please don't give Armondo any credit for anything - because his head is already big enough...LOL

Before I go - he's wrong - BASEBALL is the only sport in the world!....HAHAHA

Wow - thanks Jackie for answering, and I feel much better. Thanks for the tip about the international calling! I'm gonna call them first thing Monday.

Right now, I can't go anywhere because of my credit. Hubby and I got cards from the service, and we're paying them back. SLOWLY. The personal cards hit our credit, and we're hurting scorewise.

When you say that my feelings won't change about something I'm not happy with, well, I purchased a vaccum that I hate now. I hated it then, and I REALLY hate it now, and I wish i had some dynamite, cause I'd blow that sucker up.

So, with Cingular, I'm stuck for now (my decision). I already have the beast...and a bad beast is better than none.

Jackueline, thanks for the answer, and yes, we have a business hub here. I had no idea they did that too. Okay, I had no idea what they did.
I won't go into details, but we really really really don't like the computers. I'm glad someone understands how I feel (you're right on with two of the 3 things you listed).

I won't talk about DFS, because the times I've had to call, I couldn't understand what they were saying. The people I spoke to seem rude at me for not understanding what they were saying!

Thanks JodanJero for the answer. I'll look into HP if I can dump these stupid dells.
