In the spring of 2001 I bought a new 2001 Kio Rio with the 10 year 100,000 mile warranty. In January the engine blew up with only 43,000 miles on the car. Kia and the dealer refused to honor the warranty. They claimed the oil had not been changed enough. I produced receipts for 5 oil changes from garages, not to mention those I performed myself. I'm pretty certain that I can go to court and win. The only thing is that can take a long time and the lawyers want money up front that I don't have right now. So, I made a web page outlining my problems with this dealer and hope it causes enough pressure on them that they agree to fix the car. Don't laugh, it might work. Besides I have a lot of time on my hands right now and need something to do. If you have a few minutes please visit my site. It's located at

Let me know what you think. Thanks
