I recently paid of a CA in a settlement now they are showing as a Neg but the status is Paid, how do I go about getting it deleted, the CA agency said they do not delete, so what now?

Technically, it remains for 7 1/2 years from the "Date of First Major Deliquency". That is the date the account first became deliquent, and never brought current (your first 30 day late date). Per the FCRA, the charge off date is dated 180 days from the Date of First Major Deliquency", and it remains on your credit report for seven years from that date.

The first question is: have you disputed this tradeline with the CRAs? What have you done so far?

That yet another thing the CA's will screw you over on, they love to screw over your credit file.
Yes, you just re set the DOLA and it may stay on for 7 more years.
Never, ever pay any CA a dime until you get it in writting that it will be permanetly deleted and not sold, transferred etc.
See, you paid them and they still are a pain in the butt. They will never go out of there way to help you, but I am willing to bet they tacked on some illegal fees too.
