The great thing about ca's calling cell phones is they only bother one person, the debtor. All you have to do is press the ignore button and thats that. They don't use up any of your minutes and no one knows your being harassed by a ca.Plus the ca's do not call cell phones as often it is to much work, plus they can't even leave a message if you don't want them to.The biggest complaint against ca's is constant calls. The cell phone is the debtors best friend. That is why more and more debtors are getting rid of there land line phones.Soon they will be obsolete.Cell phones are also telemarketers worst enemy.
Yea, they will tell you they will call you on your cell, when they hang up they are probably harrassing your mom or neighbor about you. One CA just got fined a ton of money for calling a customer more then 30 times a day on his cell phone, the customer answered each time to hear the CA yelling at him, threathening him etc. What the dumbass CA didnt know was he was recording it all. By they way, CA's are NOT ALLOWED to cost you money in their effrots to collect, thus they just paid this guy and the government a nice little fee for there wrongdoing. I actually called a CA and left my cell phone number with a certain person on purpose. What did they do, called me at 11 pm at night! Left me a message which is a no no asking for my SS no. Let them call, ask your provider to send you copies of your calls, all of them not just the answered ones. Also, I think NCO was just fined for excessive cals to a consumer, I think they called her 20 times a day for a week. Which is harrassment.
You would have to be an idiot to be a CA and call a cell phone repeatedly. The list of all numbers calling you is trivial to obtain, either on your monthly statement, or on-line, far easier than on your landline phone.
