Ok so I have about 8 Sentara collection accounts on all 3 CRA's...they were IIB but when the BK dismissed they moved forward with collection efforts...and yes the JUST starting reporting 2/07. I disputed of course and they came back verified...of course....and then I rec'vd a letter that they were offereing 20% off if PIF, but guys this is about 3k I don't have....from hospital bills and not having insurance. Anyone successfull with PFD with them? there are a couple of small indivual ones between 100 & 300 dollars that I can try for, but awhile back a rep from their told me they don't always do that, and I would HAVE to pay first, then they would check to see if they could get a "courtesy" letter written up to send to CB for deletion...does that sound right? or would I be a fool to pay the small ones and they never delete...especially based on their word... I asked for a letter to be faxed to me alone with the totals and indv bal's but she told me they don't do that, and I asked well what's my guarantee and she said you'll just have to pay to find out?

Any new ideas how to dispute judgements that keep coming back as verified? Isn't there a way I can request HOW they verified.

And last but not least...good ole Cox Communications...I did a validation and they sent me a stack of papers and bills showing the service in my name...etc then stated at the end of the letter if I didn't open the account, send them proof of addy, DL copy and SS copy and they will report as fraud...well gosh I don't want to do that it wasn't fraud...I just don't agee with what they say I owe especially when I dropped off the cable boxes myself and cancelled service... I showed the rec't for that and my last payment and they told me any credits had already been applied so I just owe what I owe...unless I never opened the account....

I forgot about Haynes furniture... they sued me/won a judgement.. I got the judgement deleted but now they are reporting every month as 150 days past due....again another account IIB... the bal was only 200 at the time of judgement and they are reporting 829... I guess interest? so the plus is the judgement is gone, but every month they report 150 days past due....and it is in derog status..with CO in the box for each month.

Ok Haynes aka Homes Furnishings..I rec'vd an updated Equifax today....this has been deleted.

Now I have a question.... Which has more impact with regard to judgements?
    1. The date filed
    2. The disposition date
    3. Paid vs. Unpaid
I ask this because I have 3 judgements from 2000 and there is no disposition date just the file date which is 00
I also have (2) Paid Judgements.. the file date was 02, and the disposition date is 05 and they are marked satisfied with the 05 date. *However, these were actually paid in 04* I have the receipts to show date of payment...do I have any recourse for deletion since the final disposition date is showing 05 when I have documents showing it was April 04? If so how would I proceed?

Lastly, regarding judgements and the SOL being 10 yrs...how does a judgement get renewed? Are you served again and have to appear in court?

On a collection account.... why/how would the account be listed as open?
Which status is more harmful....Closed or Derogatory? I'm thinking Derogatory but closed @ zero balance or Derogatory at zero balance? does it just depend on the dates as well.. how recent?

The collections process and how quickly these collections have come back as verified from the CRA's is so crazy.
I suppose my next move is to do a validation, since I have disputed and rec'vd the creditor verified April 07 msg.
    *Sigh*
