I have to use CSC for Equifax disputes because I live in Tx. I disputed old names/addys 02/07, two weeks later they are updated as saw through my daily tri-pulls. Friday March 2nd I do account disputes per CSC online, I print and copy the dispute info to my computer. Since that time I have seen no changes whatsoever to my Equifax report. No accts listed as verified or even tagged with "Account information disputed by consumer, meets FCRA standars." It's as if the disputes weren't made although I got a confirmation when I submitted them. They did however change my addy to Transunion's addy 2 weeks ago. Huh? No clue why that happened. I received a updated credit report on March 18th which reflected the name and addy disputes made in Febuary. Given that they may not have received the disputes till Monday March 5th, 30 days would be April 3rd and 35 days will be April 9th. I started to call but then recalled section 611 of the FCRA. Should I sit on this till April 9th (35 days) then hit them with a delete since accts were not investigated? Equifax is my worst report with the most inaccuracies and it is the only one that is still showing a repo with an incorrect balance. This repo is holding up a mortgage app. I don't want to have to redispute and wait another 35 days.../groan Any advice? Thank you, Tegleg
Have a little patience, it is usually a good sign when you do not hear any results until after 30 days. This could mean the tradeline could not be verified, that they have not heard back from the data furnisher, etc.. Wait until you receive the results, did you specify to have results e-mailed to you? Or will they be sent via regular mail? Hang In There, and wait it out, it will only be a few more days.
