well, I just rec'vd updates on EQ and EXP... ALL of my late payments for my mortgage have been removed. The status says current/ never late, says Paid in Full (closed) and some of the blank history is updated with green ok's This was GREAT news or so I thought, because I had MANY MANY 30, 60, 90 day lates.. even a few 150 days/Foreclosure. The was status used to say: Current/Was foreclosure.. Not a SINGLE point change either up or down with any of my Scores on EQ and EXP, TU still says in dispute and under investigation. Is it possible that this could have NO impact on my score at all?
You know I thought about it after I posted if I needed to wait 30, 45 or 60 days to see the change? I don't know I guess I was assumptive in thinking it was automatic. I'll post if/when I see any changes with regards to this.
Most times an account in dispute is not counted in the FICO score. Are you saying you paid again to get new FICO scores, and there was no change on your FICO scores? Or are you saying your FAKO scores did not change? If it is the latter, then all I can say is there are many reasons they are called FAKE scores.
No- I am talking about a change in my Fico Scores, not the TC Fako's... strangely enough my Fico's are higher on al three than the TC Fako's... weird. My question/comment was more regarding me looking for a change in my scores due to the Mortgage account changing to completely positive. NO LATES, NO Current was Foreclosure, and NO 30, 60, 90, 120, 150's... payment history is ok. That is why I was hoping/expecting to see a change. plus the new tradelines, but only FP is reporting so I know I need to give it time to age.
The general rule of thumb is that the lower your scores and the more a report is cluttered with derogatory items, the less a single change will make. In contrast, the higher a score and cleaner the report, the more drastic of a change will result from a new derogatory. Moreover, if those late notations were more than two years old, they were having little to no impact in any event. Not too say that they aren't worth removing rather, from a score driven perspective they had little weight.
say it isn't so!!!! Aw shucks....well I won't be looking for much of a score change then (if any at all).. the lates were all at LEAST 4 years ago.. a few 3 yrs ago.. but this was all during the BK13 filing/dismissal. and yes all of the accounts that I have that are derogatory now are marked "consumer disputes this account information* I am so lost right now....I have no clue what to do next, the more I read the more confused I become.
how much disputing is too much? letters from the CRA's.. saying it looks like my communication is from a credit repair company and reminding me that negative information can't be removed. Can I dispute online and write letters? I rec'vd a report back but some things still say under investigation. everything else I disputed on Equifax just says 1.adverse accounts that are paid in full will automatically be deleted 7 yrs froms the date of last activity. 2.once an account has been opened the account may appear on the credit file for 7 or 10 yrs from DOLA Oh and then they tell me if I have questions to contact the creditor directly.
Ah, they send those out all the time. They are meant to discourage you. I will say this however, dispute inaccurate information within the tradelines. In one round, dispute the dates of status and balance history as inaccurate. The next, go for the account status and dates of initial delinquency if it's reported at all. You can also dispute data fields which are absent insofar as this is incomplete reporting. At this point, you need to be firing away at the collections, public records, and accounts included in bankruptcy. Moreover, I'd blanket it at this point because you have so many. I would not do this with Experian in that they are severely restricting the amounts of dispute per tradeline they will allow. With respect to them, go for the accounts with the highest probability of deletion; i.e., old, paid collections.
Thanks... Experian is VERY reluctant to budge on old address info... and how do I respond with them saying they are verifying? All of my accounts are in dispute per their report but only 2 medical collections show IIB. nothing else says that. My head hurts I appreciate the responses!!!!!
