Is it always the case that a CA is going to post a collection when they pull your report? I'm thinking (and hoping) that it's nothing. Ok, this is why I'm thinking this:

I got a copy off all three of my reports on 3/26/07, I saw some things that were strange like a utility bill being reported by 2 different collection agencies (NCO/Medclr & CBCS) for the same amount. I contacted both agencies and only CBCS could find me. NCO couldn't find me in any of their systems and 5 different offices. After the PFD (paid in full) with CBCS (this account was deleted as well) I contacted Exp to dispute the NCO account...........on 4/4/07 it was deleted and I was notified by Exp. Yesterday I got an free updated copy of my TU rpt and there was a hard inq from NCO dated 4/5/07. Yesterday was the 1st time I saw an updated version of my TU rpt but I have seen Exp and Equ on numerious occassions since 3/26 and NCO did not pull either of those rpts.

NCO may have pulled your report to verify the "error". They may have miscoded the "pull" as hard vs soft. You may want to contact NCO, and see if they will send you a letter stating thre inquiry should not have been a "hard pull", and use it to have removed from your public inquiries.

Speak to any one of the CSR there or should I ask for supervisor?

I have a contact with NCOgroup. I'm going to reach out for him today. He works in the sales dept and does business with the company I work for.

A better solution, the secret always is to get to the right person who can do something!
