Hi-I'm totally new to this forum and have been trying to read and educate myself over the past week or so. I finally decided I was ready to dig in so I disputed a few "low hanging fruit" items with the CRAs. One was a 30 day late charge from Capitol One as I have always made my payments on time. They investigated and said the item was to be deleted but instead they deleted the entire account! This is the only major credit card I have and one of the few positive, pays as agreed, items on my report so I need for it to stay on there. A potential employer is checking my credit next week-how do I get this fixed quickly?

    Thanks!

EDIT: I guess I got my situation resolved although not within the time frame I needed. How frustrating!

You did not say if the account is closed or not. If it is, you are almost surely out of luck. If it is still open then you can probably get Cap One to send a letter for your bosses review. However, you understand you have three reports? Do you know if the account was deleted from all three reports, or just one? If your boss pulls the one which still includes the account, then your boss will never know what is on the other report.
