I thought I read somewhere that Florida doesnt recognize the NY state credit stuff. Anyone know anything about this?

Each of our states has their own laws, some of which are different than the Federal Laws with regards to credit reporting, licensing, and debt collection. In order to get an intelligent answer to your question you have to specify what you mean by " Credit stuff ".

I have some listings on my report- some medical bills unpaid and I also have a reposession and a public judgement. Will this still be held against me in FL?

Yes, unless you dispute and delete the derogatory information from your credit report, all derogatory information will remain on your credit reports for seven (7) years. These accounts are connected to your name, SSN, and old addresses.

Once you establish a new address in FLA, your best tools for credit repair are:

OPT OUT permanently at (888) 5 OPT OUT
Delete all old addresses from CR's
Dispute derogatory accounts as " inaccurate, please delete " with each CRA.

If the negative information remains on your report it could influence credit decisions, employment, insurance, and other things. The whole point to credit repair is removing negative and inaccurate information from your credit report.
