I also voted for Lakisha, but only about 5 times. She was good last night, but the last 2 weeks have not been good at all. What did you think about Blake? Is Simon right? Half love it half hate it?
I agree with Simon on Blake, that was risky to cover such a classic song. I do have to give Blake credit, he is original, and he is shrewd. I don't think he'll win, but I think he may be a sleeper that makes it to the final two. I also think he is going to have a music careerout of this. I think Randy is going to see to that!
I had to watch Blake's perfomance a couple of times, I really liked it. http://tv.yahoo.com/collections/1251 I usually check my pick against theirs. It looks like I might be right about Lakisha and Chris.
My thoughts also! I said to myself during his performance, "I see why he was voted off! But, Phil seemed to do better last night than he did Tuesday, maybe with the pressure off it helps! It's going to get interesting now! Big buzz about Blake everywhere, could be a battle for the finish.
Indeed, Yahoo! reports, and with the strongest Top 4 in Idol history, there are no guarantees. This will definately be a great showdown. I was suprised Phil left, I thought he did better than Lakisha last week and this week. I'm glad Ryan didn't put Jordin through all that last night, she was nervous. I had to listen to Blake's performance a few times last night again, it was great.
i'm jumping in on this conversation. (-: i just finished watching idol on tivo and my two favorites are blake and melinda. blake because he is original, he has a unique sounding voice, and he's a great performer. melinda because she is just all around the best! honestly, i don't know what the buzz is about jordin! i'd like to consider myself pretty musical and i think she's pitchy and i'm not a huge fan of the tone and vibrato in her voice. maybe i just need to get my speakers fixed! my hubby doesn't like lakisha because all he can hear is her lisp. so my bet for the final two is blake and melinda, with melinda winning it all!
OHH! No you didn't! Jordin's performance of : You'll Never Walk Alone : Broken Wing : I Who Have Nothing : were absolutley flawless!!! Sure she cant sing Bon Jovi, but seriously how well did you expect that to go over? She gave it her best and overall I think she did a great job with what she could. Chris, however, ugh, HORRIBLE! He butchered that song up and down!
i can't remember which song it was of jordin's, i think it was the one before bon jovi, but everyone was raving about it and i really didn't understand why! i thought she was pitchy! i guess she doesn't give me the chills (which i get when i hear someone great, like melinda) when she performs. granted, she IS only 17 and will only continue to improve. i remember i wasnt a fan of diana degarmo either, but i recently heard her perform and now i think she's amazing! but do we both agree the final two will be blake and melinda? i mean, c'mon, everyone i know watched blake's performance more than once because it was so cool!
Eh, I'll let you know after tonite's performance. Next home I think is Lakisha. Melinda has never given me chills, she is good and I think she will win, but hasn't been anything, woohoo about it.
Remember, Blake was in the bottom two with Chris last week! (This is my desperate pull for Lakisha!) I think she just has more soul than Melinda.....
no chills from melinda? melinda has less soul than lakisha? really? i feel the opposite, i believe it when melinda sings. i don't feel that "connection" the judges talk about when lakisha sings. funny how differently we all feel considering we're watching the same show! i guess i really shouldn't talk about who i think should or should not win considering i haven't been able to vote much this season! i tend to be busy on tuesdays, so i have to tivo the show. but if i did vote, i'd vote 100% for blake until he got voted off, then 100% for melinda! if it were blake vs. melinda in the final 2, 100% for blake!
Unfortunately, I think tonight is between Blake and Lakisha, I'm pulling for Lakisha to hang in there. I wasn't impressed with Blake's performances last night. I think he's gotten a bit "gimmicky" with his "B boxing". But, we'll see tonight!
I didn't get the time to watch it last night, I recorded it and hopefully tonite I will have time, before the results. I heard though, from my roomate, they all were bad and he wasn't really impressed with any of them. Psstt go JORDIN! :-D~
Not to give away the "ending", but Jordin was a bit flat on her first performance, she did recover on the second. As Simon said (about the second performance) ..."the second half of that song put you in the finals"... Even Melinda was not great last night, it seemed they all struggled with the Barry Gibb songs....It will be interesting tonight!
I read the ''expert'' reviews this morning as I couldn't stand not knowing. Everyone says Lakisha is a goner.
