I posted a while back about a hard inquiry that NCO placed on my CR on 4/5/07. I followed the steps advised by the board, CRA and actually a rep at NCO. The NCO rep told me I had/have no accounts with them and didn't see a reason for them to pull my CR. She gave me the fax number to send a letter. I contacted NCO via us mail with a CMRR. It' been 30 days, what is my next step. After reading what collectman said about creditors seeing a CA pulling your report as a "red flag" makes me very upset. I filed a complaint via online with the FTC. Now what. I want this inquiry off my report ASAP!
Oh gosh, collecman; didnt really want to the court thing. I guess I'll look for a thread to tell mehow to proceed. I had decided yesterday that i wasn't going to worry about it but when I saw your "red flag" post I got worried.
You can attempt to contact their compliance dept. or legal dept. and demand they issue you a letter of removal, or you will draft suit in Federal Court. See what kind of response you get.
Nco is still under a consent decree with the Ftc I think. Go to the Federal Trade Commission website and see if they have a branch office close to you.Give them a call and let them know what is going on. If this is giving you no satisfaction, you can file a small claims lawsuit to save on costs and sent the removal letter with copy of the filed suit.
I explained a while back that I had a contact (although hasn't done much help, he's in the sales dept) at NCO which means I also have his e-mail address. What I did was go to BBB and look for the presidents and legal persons name. I sent them an e-mail using the same e-mail format as my contacts e-mail. i.e lisa.signore@ncogroup.com I'll let you guys know if this works.............sneaky me.
