i need approximately $3000 for an auto purchase from a private seller. my scores are 603, 597, and 584.

i have a bunch of collection accounts, and no current open tradelines.

do you guys have any recommendations for lenders i should try? i've searched online and there seem to be so many options, and i don't know who is trustworthy. i've also run into $5000 minimum loan size quite a bit.

    thanks for any advice.

Any possibility for a co-signer for a traditional loan with a bank or credit union?

i could probably ask my mother, she's 700+ fico, but at 31 feel kind of bad about doing that.

do you think thats the best way to go? do you think my credit union, who turned me down last year for an auto loan because of my score, but mostly the collection accounts, over look those things with her cosigning?

I understand your feelings about asking, it is hard. A strong co-signer makes all the difference. We had to sign for our daughter for her car loan, because she had problems similar to yours.

Are the collections paid, or still due?
