Hello Guys, Not sure what to do now Have 2 baddies on credit report one not mine. Trans union able to get deleted after 4 tries other two won't budge. Keep saying already investigated creditor verfied. I wrote letters too both CRA'S and called they keep saying was verfied they won't reinvestigate. I sent Debt validation requests creditors never reply. Tired of them not doing a proper investigaton just using their E -Oscar software to send requests asking creditor to check yes or no after they give them all my info and ask creditor if thats correct. What info creditor didn't have on me they now do. Should I just seek a lawyer? One account credit control corp also fails to validate debt I did have cox account but I closed it before I moved and had zero balance if someone else reopened it at that address it wasn't me I asked for anything that was signed by me etc they claim they don't have to have anything contracts or anything signed up by me. It could have been turned on by calling.
If the account is truly not yours, and you have reached the end of normal channels, then I would go straight to an attorney and sue for damages. You would definitely want to add the element of possible fraud on the account. Often it takes an attorney to break loose these items, an actual suit will often force them to look at these items, beyond just system verification. If you can afford it, an attorney would be your best route. Check with your state's Bar Association Referral Service, they will give you several names of attorneys in your area that specialize in cases such as yours.
