Yes, they do negatively impact your score. medical collections are the same as any collection account. As a category collection accounts are some of the most severe for negatively impacting your credit score. The additonal requirement for medical tradelines is that they cannot communicate any medical condition information in their tradeline. For example it cannot state "Cancer Center, Diabetes Clinic", etc.
