hello i'm new to this . please i need help my car was repo for being 2 1/2 months behind ,i worked it out to get car back but where its being held they will not return my calls and also the broke into my car same day they repo it and took all my personal stuff out of it . THIS IS SO WRONG especially cause i paid to get my car back and the repo theives won't call me back. it goes for auctuion on the 14th ..the laws need to change everyone else you owe money to takes you to court but a car they can come steal on private property with out a court order please help !what can i do thank you so much, my car got behind cause i had major jaw surgery and could not talk for weeks or work
i don't know thank you for reply.. no i don't know anything i don't have contract can't find it but i'm on hold with co for hours at a time and i just found out they moved my car to the auction site 3 hrs away from me 4 days after repo i just found this out i'm so upset
please anyone i don't know what to do i have been talikg to bank after hours on hold i paid what i was behind on plus a month inadvance yesterday i was on hold with banks reinstatment dept for 200 mins i finally hung up and today they are closed ! help monday they said my car goes for auction what can i do
I don't want to sound rude, but why did you send them the money if you haven't made an arrangement to get the car back, esp. if they said that it goes up for auction the first business day of next week? I'd find the contract and start digging up receipts for when they take you to court to pay the difference of the cost less what you've paid and what they get for the car at auction. Or you could review the contract to see if they acted contrary to the agreement and possibly take them to court. You might also try to go to the auction yard and get them to hold off on your car (or put it to the end of the list) and try to talk to the bank from there (long shot, but nothing ventured, nothing gained). However, if that doesn't work (depending on how the contract is worded) you should probably start shopping for a lawyer and another car.
thak you the bank sent me a letter stating i had 10 days and on phone they told me that and it was the repo co that moved my car before i the 10 days ? they told me they don't know where they moved it except the town . but i have copies of the bank letter and my payment any suggestion please
also after i paid , i was on hold for 200 mins and other times for 60mins and it was friday no one answered and today they are closed
Well, if you complied with the agreement, then the bank should deliver your car. If the repo company moved your car, then they should move it back. You might need to get more assertive on the phone and work your way up the chain of command. But you will probably want to move quickly...
