Can/Should I "Dispute"?

The quick rundown: Had a Cap1 card for a couple years that I never used (it was backup). Made the mistake of putting a work related charge on it and then completely forgetting about it. I finally discovered/remembered the past due, but only after a 30 and 60 day past due mark had tarnished my otherwise spotless credit history.

It's been a few months now since I paid and closed the account... I'm just wondering if I can/should "dispute" this ding on my report with the CRA's? Or would doing so be pointless considering the circumstances?

I don't want to do anything that might cause more harm than good.

    Thanks for the info!

Harm has been done. Dispute with the cra(s) call crap-1 tell them what happened and see what they will do for you.
