What can I do about this account?
I opened a credit card and used it once about 25 days latter I called there customer
Service to do a change of address at that time I asked about the bill she said nothing was owed and a bill will be sent out in a few days the minimum was 5.00 the total charge was 151.00 . So at that time I sent in 20.00 even though I didnâ??t receive a bill. A month or so went by and nothing so I called they said the bill was sent only it was sent to my email and that I had agreed to that NO I didnâ??t they then told me they sent an email reminder and so on. I did get one email from them that welcomed me to there card services not one thing in said anything about billing or receiving bill on line. After checking with my ISP they confirmed that I only received the one email from them.
In the mean time they added a 39.00 late charge at that point I called and got ye-old run around so I canceled the account sent them the amount that I charged minus there late fee. I now get a bill for 191.12 .
Bottom line how do I get rid of these A-Holesâ?¦.

Credit card banks are regulated by a number of federal and state agencies that you can complain to and can help you get reconciliation. Hopefully, someone who is more knowledgeable on who those agencies are will chime in :)

Wonder how long they are going to charge the 39.00 late fee + interest on an account that is closed and paid in full I get tired of talking to Betty Davis or John Wayne in broken English on top of that the people on the phone say they cant or wont do anything.
My fingers are getting tired of writing letters to them as well.

Remember that any dispute of charges, fees, etc. MUST be done in writing..we all have the same instinct to call and speak to a live person, but the agreements all state that disputes must be done in writing.

So, write a full written dispute of the charges, if you do not agree with them.

Now the bank has reported this as a 30 day late. Keep in mind the account is closed at my request do to there billing practice or lack of the only charge that was ever made was paid in full. The 30 day late is for there late charge.

Again, any dispute must be done in writing; an institution may continue the billing cycles if the account balance is not paid in full at time of account closing.

If you have not yet made a written dispute, write it now, and dispute the late fee, and hence 30 day late for payment of.

This is the website for the FTC and credit card issues. The article is mainly about purchases/transactions you didn't make, but it is appropriate for your issue. Included is a sample letter to dispute charges, etc.
