How do I get information on a law firm who says they are collecting a debt for someone.
Not the names etc, but more cases won, lost, filed etc.

If you get access to PACER, you can check for court cases. I've never used it, so I'm not exactly sure how it works. I know you pay per page viewed, but I think you can search by names, etc. and then view it if it looks like what you want.

I know that a lot of people use it to find samples of cases in certain courts, before certain judges, etc.

I'm not sure how you'd use PACER to find that info. I mean you could, but it would be painfully tedious. (e.g. download the filings and find the lawer's name(s)). But that's only for federal cases. If you're looking for superior or district court cases, you'll have a much bigger challenge ahead of you.

I believe you can search PACER for things like that.

You could also check court records in the area where the law office is. Many of those records are online.

I would try Findlaw - sometimes they have cases. Also, try your state's court web site!

You may also want to contact your state's Bar Association for help in this pursuit. They will point you to the resources for this.
