Hey guys, so I received validation from the CA after my second letter. What are my options now...?

The CA is Collection Consultants of California and the OC is Kaiser Permanente.

    Thanks!

Your best option is a "Pay For Delete" (PFD), if you can negotiate it. You offer to pay in full, and they agree to remove the CA tradeline. (assuming this is your debt, and the validation is reasonable)

Or, negotiate a settlement amount or payment plan.

I just called Kaiser, the OC, and they allowed me to pay the outstanding amount. I'm going to call back and get a letter confirming payment to send to the CA if necessary.

Let me know if I just did something wrong, thanks!

Just find out if Kaiser is "pulling back" the account from the CA, your goal is to get the CA tradeline off your credit report.

This is crucial. Kaiser MUST pull the TL back AND tell the CA to delete the TL. If you can get Kaiser to send you a letter to that effect it would be great because you could send that to the CRA's and get it deleted because CA's are scum sucking bottom feeders who might ignore the clients direction.

Don't wait that long, call immediately and strike while it's fresh in both sets of minds. It's all in the followthrough and follow up.
