IF you want a truly SOBERING EXPERIENCE, order your LN report. I just got mine, and it was an 'eye opener'.

    They state the following:
I don't know what the contractual agreement is between LN and their subscribers, but what's the purpose of their service? If one applies for a job or home loan and they do a background check and use LN, or if a CRA uses LN for public record confirmation then EVERYTHING about you, your family AND your neighbors is there to be seen.

IF LN has all of this, it makes me wonder what the CRA's have in THEIR files that we don't see.

Frankly, the information they possess is scary. You can opt out if you meet one of their freakish criteria.

We have gotten a few of our clients opted out from their databases but, in my opinion it isn't worth it. There are so many of these data miners that attempting to get off the radar is ultimately futile.

If you do a search for a thread I started some time ago called "Frustrating the Skip Tracer" and pay attention to the data Mine section, you will know what Accurint is all about and how to frustrate them.

Accurint is a wonderful tool that very closely monitored by their compliance teams. It's easy to get neighbors, relatives from about 5 degrees of separation and more. Asset information there is great too, cars, professional license, etc.

Just out of curosity . . . what does professional licensure do for collection efforts? I think one could surmise that perhaps an attorney or physicial has better potential to repay but, I just wondered.

If we don't have the place of employment for a person, and accurint shows they have a certain professional license, we can begin searching it out. Professional license includes doctors, nurses, attorneys, beauticians, etc.
