I finally broke down and dropped the $35 (with HOLIDAY25 discount) to get my "real" FICOs from MyFico.com and, thanks in large part to everyone here, All are now above 700!!! This is a big improvement from this time last year. This past January I had: TU:645, EX: 586, EQ: 626. Today's numbers were: TU:728, EX: 759, EQ: 703 !!! Not to mention a little extra cash from the settlement with the Collection Agency! So, Thanksgiving might have been last week, but I'm still giving thanks! The hard part is continuing to resist temptation. New credit card apps go right into the shredder. Cash advance checks-shredder. Anything with the words "default rate" - shredder. I've still got a ways to go (e.g. pay off last summer's vacations) so it's not clear sailing but the waters have smoothed out considerably. Thanks again to everyone!
