I'd love to be able to do that! Where I live, that price will only buy you a mobile home in a trailer park with a 2-3 hr (each way) daily commute.
Deliverance was filmed in Georgia . . . we play fiddles. Seriously, WV is not nearly as "redneck" as portrayed in the media.
Depends what part of WV, doesn't it? I mean, you live in the civilized area. Some parts of WV I've been in are pretty redneck!!
ENIGMA YOU FREAK! Yes, Hedwig, some parts of WV are scary. I do live in one of the urban parts I will admit.
I know some parts of WV are scary. When I lived in NC and went to Kentucky we went through some of those parts!
It probably was in southern WV. We were going to Covington, which is up near Ohio. We lived in Raleigh area. It's been over 25 years ago. I don't remember all the towns or roads, but I remember an interstate that seemed really scary--some places didn't even have decent guard rails.
Oh, that is going from Bluefield to Charleston and yes, the interstate system is disturbing there on first impression. Not much by way of towns until you reach Beckley and then the Charleston/Huntington Metro area.
i thought this article would be relevant to this thread; the top 10 most expensive housing markets. What is extraordinary is the % of median income spent on housing! http://www.bizjournals.com/specials/slideshow/43.html?page=10
Now I feel like just a whiner. My market didn't even make the list I guess that just shows no matter how bad you think you have it, it can always be worse.
