I just checked all three of my cr's. On two of them a tl charge off is reading 0 balance .DOLA is about 5 years ago so this is almost out of SOL.
Now on one of the cr's it reads.
    unt
    Acct Status: Closed
    Monthly Payment: $0
    Balance: $14,189
    Terms: N/A
    High Balance: $14,189
    Limit: $14,700
    Past Due: $2,278
    Remarks: Canceled by credit grantor
Payment Status: Charged off as bad debt.

So isn't this balance supposed to read ZERO??? And what about the past due remark? As I said nothing has been paid on this for over FIVE years.
Do I dispute and if so what do I write for this?
    Thanks

No it doesn't have to read -0- unless the charge off was sold. Doesn't look like it has been.

Dispute it as having on inaccurate balance and pay status.

Good. That will help your scores I would imagine.

You know, I have not worried about my scores, as I don't need to finance anything.
I did check the fakos and all of them are in the mid 650's.
I will like it though as the end of this year all my baddies will be coming off, and I only have one more debt to deal with which is almost out of SOL as well, and then no more debt, if I get the award taken care of. : )
